Christmas is over!!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. It was eventful here. The kids went crazy over their presents.

Cory is re-enlisting tomorrow for another six years into the Navy!! I am going to go to the ceremony. I got to have some pictures :-)

I have been scrapbooking SO MUCH, I now have pain in my back/shoulder area on the right. I think it is from the way I sit when I scrapbook. I have had an Icy/Hot patch on it all day. Last night it hurt so bad but I still wanted to scrapbook so my hubby was nice enough to rub my back for about half an hour, it felt so much better afterwards. My first Scrapbooking injury!!

Here is a page I created for Scrappin with Grace. The challenge was to scrapbook something you keep from your husband. I used a receipt from the store showing my cash back. On the letter C chipboard I wrote different words for Cash. I used the circle around the picture to separate the three pictures. I used Heidi Swapp masks for the word secret.


Right now I am working on my entries for Create My Keepsake design team call. If you have not checked them out you should...there is a great group of women over there.

Now here is a question for all of you...New Years I am going to a scrapbook store about an hour away to buy a new Quickutz font, it is my Christmas present but I wanted to wait until the store had a sale.

Out of these which would you choose? If you have them which do you find yourself reaching for more?

In other news...Today was Corys last day of work for 6 full days!!! I am so excited he gets so much time off. I am going to be doing a lot of scrapbooking :-)

My husband is sooo sweet, he told me he was going to go buy me a scrapbooking gift. I convinced him to tell me what so I can tell him what scrapbook store to go to to get it. It was not hard to get him to tell me, he can not keep things like that a secret. He said I am going to buy you "Calvin." At first I was like huh, then I realized what it was. He said he saw a list in a notebook that said "Fonts I Want", and Calvin was on the list.

He said he did not know what it was for he was just going to walk into the store and ask for Calvin. I told him you better hope no one named Calvin works there :-)

Anyways he could not buy it because none of the stores near me sell Quikutz so we are going to go to the scrapbook store that is an hour away during their New Years Sale and get it (any item 40% off).

It is the thought that counts. Now I have to think of something to get him...any suggestions??

Tonight's work

I created this tonight for the on-going contest at Scrappin With Grace.
I wrote the letter in my left hand so it would look like a child wrote it.


Today we went shopping so the girls could find presents for EACH OTHER. A concept hard to understand at 2 & 3, they wanted to pick out toys for themselves. Madison started to understand, she said "Brookie I want this Princess dress" and then Brookie said "O.k. Madison I want this princess dress."

They left to pick out a present for mommy and I bought the princess dresses. Later when we got home they wanted their presents they picked out for each other. They did not understand that we have to wait until Christmas...lol.

How many times have you said that :-) I know I have...well now I am going to say it again. I have been asked to join the design team for Just let me Scrapbook. I am sooo excited!!!

I am soo excited that Christmas is here. I have been wanting to do a selective coloring picture with a Santa hat. Here is little baby Cory in the Christmas spirit.

I have an invisible counter on my blog that tells me how many hits daily. I had 42 hits today!!!! Wow, and thank you for taking time out of your day to read what I write.

some Eye Candy

You know how much I love photography...I was messing around the internet and came accross this new kit club...Eye Candy. The kits looks amazing BUT I love how the owner took pictures of the kit. My fav. would have to be the picture on the bottom right on their home page.

Another cool thing I want to mention. Wendy Reed is scrapbooking my girls!! I am so excited to see the page she creates. She is using the Piggy Tails line featured this month at Create My Keepsake and she only has boys. She asked for pictures of girls and luckily I was one of the first to post. So Excited :-)

I made the Memory Works design team!!! I am so excited, I worked so hard on the submissions for this team. I have been working really hard on another DT submission that I just emailed today, so that is kinda a relief. Cory has been working a lot again, so I only scrapbooked a couple days this week but I still created so much :-)

Today was Madisons last day of preschool until next year, it is only two weeks off but she is going to miss it.

Guess what, I have finished my Christmas shopping :-)

10 things I learned growing up on the river:
1. How to pack for the weekend in fifteen minutes.
2. Rattlesnakes can not swim.
3. How to make a yummy cake in a Dutch oven with hot coals.
4. You have to swim upstream to get downstream.
5. How to read a river.
6. Milk can be in an ice cooler for three days before it goes bad.
7. If you annoy the guide you will be pushed out of the raft.
8. How to have a lot of fun.
9. How to set up a tent in record time.
10. Family time together is important.
I spent every summer on the river while my parents managed the rafting company. It was a fun experience and is a big part of who I am. I would not change any of these unique childhood experiences.
