It has been a busy month!

I know December is busy for everyone. January is almost here, school starts again on Jan. 2nd and I will be making my way down to Arizona for my Spellbinders trip.

Here is an album I made recently with Clear Scraps heart album.

BTW I got a couple e-mails asking why I have less layouts on my blog and if I am getting out of the scrapbooking biz. The answer is NO! I am trying to actually submit to HOF this year and so I have been holding back a lot of my layouts that I love and are not for DT. After I decide which layouts I am going to use I will release them ;-)

Christmas Party

I had 4 photoshoots this week so I have not gotten into my scrap room until today. I did clean up my room and finish some stuff I was working on.

My husbands Military Christmas party was on Friday. We had so much fun, it was actually the first time I have been to a party with a chocolate fountain, I am going to have to buy one for our parties.

Here are two pics from the party. I should have some new pages loaded by tomorrow...stay tuned :-)

Yes it is 3:30 in the morning....

I am finally DONE with all my school work. I have two finals to take tomorrow (well later today) and I am free for a month. I am so not taking 13 units in one semester again. Next semester, graphic design and Flash are my two classes I am taking, both 5 units each.

So, now that I am done with school this semester be on the lookout for some new creations. I will be scrapbooking like crazy in the month of December.

I leave you with a pic I took of my daughter in my studio the other day :-)

*I got this red hat at a thrift store for $1.00! I could not wait to put it on her in the studio. It think this pic was actually taken the same day I bought the hat.

Break Time!!!

I have a huge assignment due on Monday and I have been spending every waking moment catching up on school work I have not done. I actually read an entire HTML text book. I started it yesterday and finished it today! I have one more assignment to do and then two big tests and I am done (for now at least I have to then build a website with the knowledge we learned by next week).

For now I am taking a break.

I found this newer manufacture that makes clear albums and shapes. I LOVE their stuff. I contacted them and was asked to design with one of their new albums that is coming out this month. It is a house. They have such cute albums, a crown, dog bone, flower, tabbed albums, plus all types of shapes. Oh and the prices are check them out if you LOVE Acrylic like I do :-)

Clear Scraps - click on products and then online store to check out what they have.

If you are here looking for the Clear Scraps Gingerbread
Album that was displayed on 2 peas. I am so sorry
I had to take it down for publication. It will be in the
July Scrapbook Trends.
(yes it was April, now it is going to be a featured album with a Christmas in July will be a fun issue)

LONG break....

Hey everyone,

I just have been busy recently. School started two weeks ago and I am taking 13 units. It took me a couple weeks to get into the swing of things. I am ahead in all my classes now so the rest of the semester should be not that bad.

I didn't scrapbook the whole time Cory was gone so I have been in my room more since he got home last week. However, not so much for My local scrapbook store is doing a garage sale and I am really trying to get rid of stuff I dont use this time. They give us these labels that has your number on them and a spot to put the price of your goods. I used over 500 labels!! The really bad part is that if you walked into my scrapbook room now that I took all that stuff out for the garage sale you would not even notice anything was
The garage sale is tomorrow so wish me luck that my stuff sells!!

Here are a couple pages I did....

I made these as a GDT member for an awesome kit club and website.
I have more to post from the stuff I made from the kit but if you
have not picked up the BG lines Mellow or Periphery kits
pick them up here. They have the full BG pack with
a mini album and other embellishments (like the multi-sized jewels)
for the same price as just the paper pack!

I made these over the last couple days.

This layout is of the bridge that is near our house. It is one of the biggest
landmarks of Washington State. This page is for a Scenic Route contest at
Create My Keepsake. I cut off the edges of the layout to go with the
flow of the arrows.
I created this using the new Mellow line by Basic Grey. It
is also using the sketch from their August newsletter. I used one
of the stips of paper to point to where my daughter is in the picture.

I created this layout for a contest at Create My Keepsake as well. I also
used Rita Marie and Company paper and stamp as well as Tin Box Creations stamps (alphabet).

I used Luxe Desings for this card. I also used Tin Box Creations stamps.

So UPSET....

How much does that suck? My computer shut down for no reason then when I started it back up the only emails I had in my outlook express was sent mail. I think my hard drive is about to crash. A couple months ago my computer would not even load and then it just worked. Through talking with Ryan - my computer genius friend - we figured out that back then it was saying that part of the hard drive was corrupt. But then it just started working so I did not think about it. NOW, I am looking for a new hard drive.

LUCKILY I have my laptop in case something really bad happened to my computer but it just really sucks that I lost all my email. Also LUCKILY I signed up for Gmail and have been switching my email address over to Gmail the last couple weeks so a lot of my recent emails are in my Gmail account.

Well, that is all for now. I have a cool ideas I got in my head while at the store today...I jotted them down and I am going to work in my scrap room tonight :-)

Easy week....

This week has seemed to be pretty easy even though its a rare week where my husband doesnt have a single day off. I have been getting a lot done :-)

I made this layout just to use up older supplies. I HAD to have this Urban Lilly paper that is so darn cute and I had not used it until now! The tag (100% Quality) came off a pair of jeans.

These layouts using Scenic Route is for a contest at Create My Keepsake. The contest theme is to scrapbook your street/town/city.

I wanted to keep this page simple, and just focus on the picture.

**no your not crazy....a layout right here was deleted because it is going to be published...If you came back for inspiration from that layout I am sorry**

I made this panoramic picture last September, finally using it :-)

These are for Tin Box Creations. I used the stamp sets
Everyday (alphabet), Explore and, Romeo.

* Stamp image on a piece of paper over and over again, then trace letters and cut out. I did this with the word “WORLD.” I first stamped the paper with the map stamp and cut the words out from that. I went around the edges with a black sharpie to bring out the letters on the light background paper.

* I placed the letters (from the Everyday alphabet stamp set) on an acrylic block the way I wanted it, to line them up I put a piece of small grid paper under the acrylic block and used the grids to help line up the letters.
*To make the angel (from the Romeo stamp set) face the opposite direction then the stamp sets I stamped the image on a transparency and flipped it around so the arrow would be facing to the right instead of to the left.

* I first stamped the back of the tags with the map stamp using Staz-on ink. I did this so I could still use Black ink on the front of the tag and not have the map design and my words mesh into each other. This way the map is faded and the words on the front of the tags are readable.
* I embossed the words on the front of the tag. Both words from the explore stamp set.
* after stamping and embossing the compass image I used an H2O pen and added

I made this last night....

That has been the title of more then one post...hahaha

I LOVE visiting blogs, I just set up GoogleReader to follow RSS feeds, so I will be able to visit blogs more often, as it will notify me when someone updates. Speaking of visiting blogs, I got over eighty visits earlier this week. WOW. I will make sure to post inspiration more frequently for you guys :-)

I have created 6 pages over the last three days. This is the only one I have taken a picture of yet.

I used American Crafts for this layout. I scrapbooked on top of a divider that Cropper Hopper uses for their paper storage system. Everything is on top of the divider except for the background paper (with circles on it) that is behind. I layered flowers and put them on top of the cut flower and added a couple more cut flowers and vines from the American Crafts paper. I used thickers for the title, and stickers for the word Pink, adding the word inside of an American Crafts rub-on. I also added a rub-on in the upper right corner. I cut a circle out of the thickers for the small flower and a circle out of the background paper for the small white flower. I used staz-on in pad to edge the entire layout.

This will be an exciting month on Blogger :-)

I have a lot of plans for this month. School ends in a couple days so I have a little over a month of extra time. Watch for lots of layouts to be posted and a big change in my blog, as well as my photography website.

Check out the current issue (Aug/Sept) of Paper Trends, I have a project published.

I leave with a picture of my little man...

No coffee yet this morning :-(

I guess this morning these are DE-caffeinated thoughts.

Here are some pics of Baby Cory on his first Birthday last week....

I was heading out to a beach to take some sunset pics last week. The sky was perfect...I got sidetracked by this rainbow. I stopped at a park and took a bunch of pics. This one is from my car window. Well, I missed the sunset pics.

Here is what I did the other day when I was scrapbooking....
